A mosaic depicting a few sunflowers on a clear day.

This mosaic uses round tiles for the background, whilst other techniques and parts are used for the two sunflowers in the foreground.

The central sunflower makes use of yellow bat wings and knives to represent it’s long pointed petals, and the sunflower on the left makes use of the 3 leaf plant plates to represent softer petals that are a bit further into the distance. The third sunflower is well into the background and is represented using round tiles.

This is the second piece I have designed for the Flowers collection, and shared with the #MosaicsOnMonday event on 02-June-2025. The scene itself is fictional and is not based on any location or photo.
