This mosaic uses round tiles and plates to create the desired picture in a pixel art style design. The plates help introduce texture and shadow into the scene. The use of dull colours for the background is intended to reflect the time of year this flower is in bloom.

This is the fourth design I have worked on for the Flowers collection and shared it with the #MosaicsOnMonday trend on 09-June-2025.

The snowdrop is a tiny flower, so this is naturally a close-up view of it. Capturing shadow and texture here is really important. I don’t yet think I’ve done it justice, so this might need a few more iterations of design at a later date.
