This mosaic uses round tiles to create the desired picture in a pixel art style design. The stark difference in colours helps distinguish the foreground (the daffodil) from the background. The daffodil uses various shades of yellow to help introduce subtle texture and shadow.

I initially designed this piece in 2024, based on the flowers actually growing in my garden. Whilst I was really happy with the design, I did not actually introduce it into my store or portfolio at the time because it would feel alone and out of place.

In 2025 I acted upon my desire to explore and expand this area into the Flowers Brick Art collection. I quietly kicked off my intention by sharing this mosaic in the Instagram #MosaicsOnMonday event on 26-May-2025, with a view to keep up with sharing a new design each week.
