The WeAre8 creator challenge for March 2024 was titled “Something we can all agree on”, supported by charity: water, celebrating World Water Day on 22nd March.

There are many people around the world who are unable to access fresh water, and charity: water is working hard to help this cause. I found this inspiring, and wanted to do a build to support their work. Their logo is a yellow jerry can!

Throughout their website I see the yellow jerry can showing up in photos, but very rarely do I see it called out. Perhaps it’s there, and I missed it?

I felt it was right for me to make this unassuming yellow jerry can the star of my build, showing up in a location where it’s been collecting fresh water water, with the background showing a dusty, remote location. I want to celebrate the unlikely hero in this story – the yellow jerry can does all the work to help ensure the people get their fresh water!
