A mosaic of a daisy set against a natural green background.
This mosaic uses round tiles for the background, whilst other techniques and parts are used for the daisy.
The central sunflower makes use of white swords to represent it’s thin pointed petals. The gaps are filled with petals created using the plate with tooths, and other plain white tiles of varying styles to give the illusion of a perfectly round flower. The centre of the flower is represented by a yellow 4×4 inverted dish.
As a very small flower, this piece is showing a close-up view. This enables the stem to disappear into the background, and enables me to show the illusion of anoth daisy in the background, seen just below the main one.
This is the third piece I have designed for the Flowers collection, and shared with the #MosaicsOnMonday trend on 09-June-2025.
The scene was inspired by this white daisy in bloom during daytime photo by Freya Ingva on Unsplash.
